St. Paul’s strives to be a gentle, gracious presence in the community of Council Bluffs proclaiming God’s enfolding love for all persons. We are rooted in a tradition of reasoned searching of Scriptures, using both common sense and modern tools of science and technology. Our worship includes both Word and Sacrament.

To place us in today’s Christian spectrum we are similar to both mainline Protestants and Roman Catholics. Our church is a product of the Reformation in England and has been reframed following the American Revolution. Our governing structure involves both clergy and laity meeting in community to listen to one another at national, state, and local levels.

We value our being a congregation that appreciates differences of opinion. Dialogue in a safe environment allows room for the Spirit of God to form and lead us.

We are eager to invite and to welcome those who are searching for a meaningful relationship with God in a community of people who know that faith and God’s grace are hallmarks of life lived well. We have been blessed. We are eager to offer God’s blessings to all.
