The Reverend Aaron Hudson
The Rev. Aaron Hudson serves as Priest-in-Charge at St. Paul’s. An Iowa native, Fr. Aaron comes to St. Paul’s from Parish Episcopal School and Church of the Transfiguration, a large corporate size school and parish in Dallas, Texas, where he served as Upper Elementary Chaplain and Assisting Priest. Fr. Aaron received his undergraduate degree in nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, and is a graduate of Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas, with a Master of Divinity degree. Prior to priesthood, he served as a psychiatric nurse and substance abuse counselor/supervisor in various hospitals and treatment centers in Iowa. Fr. Aaron’s family includes his spouse, Brian Levels, a multiple woodwind performer and educator, Clara a certified professional therapy dog who has her own ministry in the community, and Phoebe, a spirited and persistent cat. Fr. Aaron was ordained to the priesthood on June 15, 2013 by The Rt. Rev. Alan Scarfe, Bishop of Iowa.

Dr. James Johnson - Organist
St. Paul's was fortunate to have Dr. James Johnson join us in January 2012. Dr. Johnson has earned a distinguished international reputation through his recordings and performances. In 2001 he was named winner of the Excellence in Teaching award at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. From among the ranks of his piano and organ students have come well over one hundred fifty winners of area, state, and regional competitions. A native of South Carolina, Dr. Johnson earned his BM, MM and DMA degrees at the University of Arizona. Prior to his tenure at UNO, he was Professor of Music and Chairman of the Music Department at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Also an organist and conductor, he earned a post-doctoral MM at Westminster Choir College, as a pupil of Joan Lippincott.
